    3、“一刀切”式的統一雖然說一套住宅應該統一在一種裝飾風格下，但每個房間都有不同的功用，居住者也不一樣。所以切忌在所有的房間中都采用一種裝飾風格，使用同樣的裝飾材料。這樣做只能使房間顯得缺少情趣和變化。

    5、不分主次有些人在裝修中不分主次，對于所有空間“一視同仁”。這樣裝修不僅花費過多，而且往往“事倍功半”。其實整套房間中某些空間的裝修可以簡潔一些，憑家具和裝飾品來點綴空間。

    6、脫離文化背景照搬畫冊的裝飾手法，往往只能“畫虎不成反類犬”，所以切忌脫離文化背景。如果房間里都是西式風格，卻擺設了太師椅，就很不諧調。

    7、脫離外部環境如果您的居室外邊十分嘈雜、紛亂，內部裝修就要簡潔一些；如果房間在陰面，裝修時就忌用深顏色。

    8、“無人參與”有些消費者把裝修的全過程都交給裝飾公司，自己不參與一點意見。這樣裝修出來的房間沒有一點主人愛好和性格的體現。

    9、“一步到位”目前大部分都希望裝修“一步到位”，其實家也在“生長”，裝修也要隨之做小的調整。例如孩子大了，兒童間的裝修和家具就要隨之改換。

    10、生搬硬套所有的裝飾手法都有一定的局限性，生搬硬套和硬性拼湊只能給人凌亂的感覺。尤其是在裝修之前，有些人喜歡去別人家“取經”，結果自己家的裝修風格凌亂，不成體系。
